Shenington  with Alkerton Parish

What’s on the Internet

Trustees Web site

Tom Harrigan  set up a website for the Village Hall Trustees so that people can easily check on upcoming events and see when the hall is free if they wish to book it.

The site is: www.shenington.org

Shenington School Web site

The village school has a  web site that is well worth visiting. It is well endowed with colourful photos and drawings including views of the outside trail and the school gardening club’s “allotment” as well as a lot of useful information about the school.

It can be found at  www.shenington.oxon.sch.uk

Shenington and Alkerton Conservation Report

The Conservation section of the Cherwell District Council’s Planning department produced an excellent report outlining in considerable detail the history and special features of the two villages. It contains maps and photographs both of current and historical views both in colour and black and white. It is a fascination document that can be found on line at www.cherwell-dc.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=3708 . The link to the document is in the top right hand corner.

Shenington Nursery

Small nursery school which was based in the village hall has moved to more spacious premises on the Shenington Airfield off Ratllecombe Road.
