VILLAGE WEEKEND

Please keep your diaries clear for village fun on July 8 - 9. In addition to our usual Village Fete, on
Saturday July 8, which is planned to be even bigger and better than usual, two
"Village First" events will follow on from it. On the Saturday
evening, there will be a Ceilidh (Barn Dance) with Hog Roast for everyone to
enjoy in a marquee on the Village Green, followed by a disco. Tickets for the
Hog Roast are now available from Rob Bryan (670 082), John Woodcock (678 779)
and Doreen Smith (670 634). They cost £12 for adults and £5 for children.

The following day, Sunday July 9, everyone is invited, having changed their footwear, to meet back in the marquee for breakfast before heading off (transport provided) to walk the 12
miles from Chipping Warden back to Shenington, along the Macmillan Way. Monies
raised from the Village Weekend will go to Macmillan Cancer Care, the Village
Church Roof Fund and the Banbury Young Homeless Project.
