Explanation of significant differences between 2014 and 2015

The precept was increased by 2% in 2014/15.

The Parish was successful in securing a grant towards the war memorial (£696), £212 in bank fees, £180 refund for tree work on behalf of the County Council, an increase in the home bonus grant of £364 and an increase in the VAT recovered.  A cheque for £840 was also returned.

 There were no capital purchases.

The asset register has been reviewed and a document scanner has been removed as it is no longer used.  Modern technology has replaced this need.

Our reserves total £7,185.  They are made up as follows: £3,000 replacement mower/grass maintenance equipment, £803 election fees, £608 for tree maintenance, £2,000 grant towards traffic calming measures and £774 funds held on behalf of residents for the Minerals Action Group.

The budget for 2015/16 includes £1,000 expenditure to the Village Hall as the hall is badly in need of refurbishment.  It also includes £1,200 in section 137 to aid community groups.  There was no increase in the precept.
